Al’Akir is (Finally) Slain!
So, it took us a long time to actually get our act in gear and kill him, but Al’Akir is finally down. We had a successful Alt-Raid tonight in which we cleared both Bastion of Twilight and Throne of the Four Winds. (Most of the toons in the screenshot are mains because people wanted to bring their mains to get the Al’Akir achievement.)
I gotta say, the content nerfs have turned the Tier 11 raids into a joke. We couldn’t find a third healer, but we two-healed everything with ease. Even having a couple of people along who’d never seen the fights was no problem. There was one wipe on Halfus because there were aggro issues in the beginning, but we one-shot everything else in BoT. TotFW was just as easy – we one-shot the council fight and had one wipe on Al’Akir.
It kinda makes me sad. Although I’m glad that more people will get to see the content, they won’t really be seeing the content, if you know what I mean. The fights just aren’t the same.
However, I’m glad that we finally got our Defender of a Shattered World titles and Dark Phoenix mounts. 🙂

Wow, 2 healed Al’akir haha. Glad to hear ya’ll got titles/mounts, and as I think I indicated on my last comment I absolutely agree with you that while the nerfs greatly improve accessability, I think they also take away a great deal of the self-accomplishment on conquering them.
